VALLE DEI MEDICI FLOYD TEO
Carlotta, our niece, had decided to face one of her greatest fears: dogs. I’m not entirely sure why, but in children and teenagers a curious mechanism often kicks in. Precisely what you cannot have — because of fear, rules, or sometimes allergies — ends up becoming the most desired thing.
In Carlotta’s case, however, desire turned into determination. She chose not to stop at fear and to work through it, at her own pace and with great seriousness. She embarked on a short but surprisingly effective journey: from the first shy strokes, to walks on a leash, all the way to shared games with our adult dogs, the more sociable and outgoing ones.
Step by step, the distance grew smaller. Fear began to give way to curiosity, then to trust. And so the long-awaited day finally arrived: the day her parents agreed that Carlotta could at last have a furry companion of her very own.
A milestone that was not only the beginning of a new friendship, but also clear proof that facing one’s fears can open unexpected doors.
For some time, another thought had been accompanying us: adding a male breeding dog to our kennel. Not just any choice, but a decision made with both heart and mind. A male can leave an important mark through his litters.
To ensure continuity in our project of selection and improvement of the Lagotto, and to be able to entrust special puppies to special families, we gathered every possible piece of information about our breeding dogs and their offspring. Years of experience, a trained eye for morphology, and deep attention to behavior guided us step by step. We were looking for a puppy with an excellent character, a stable temperament, and a gentle soul.
We know very well that the perfect dog does not exist, but we wanted to get as close as possible. Because this dog would not only be a breeding male: he would become part of our family, Carlotta’s life companion.
And so TEO arrived.
It’s not easy to say this about oneself, we know, but TEO truly is an extraordinary Lagotto: 13 kg of beauty, balance, and sweetness. He is the faithful companion of Carlotta and her brother Niccolò, a dog capable of giving unconditional love and who is deeply loved by the entire family.
