Leone: our new stud, between beauty, heart, and a passion for truffles
There are puppies that steal your heart from the very first moment, and Leone is one of them. This splendid Lagotto Romagnolo was born in our kennel as an only puppy. A special thing, of course, but for us, his destiny was already written: his beauty and unique charisma were so evident that
we would have chosen him as a future stud even if he had been born in a litter of ten males.
Today, Leone is the pride of our kennel: a stunning dog with a heart of gold and a crazy desire to work.
A happy life between family and nature
To help him grow up in the best possible way, we chose a special solution. Leone lives just a stone’s throw from us, surrounded by the affection of a family of very dear friends. This allows us to follow him day after day and involve him in our projects, while giving him the perfect life for a dog: the cuddles of a home and healthy daily habits.
Anyone who meets Leone falls in love with his qualities right away:
- A heart of gold: He is an incredibly stable, calm dog, and not nervous at all. A fundamental trait, because it is precisely this sweetness and confidence that he will pass on to his puppies.
- Beautiful and typical: He has a strong, proportionate build and that typical rustic, curly coat that fully respects the true beauty of the Lagotto.
- Deeply bonded: He lives in perfect harmony with his family, showing a truly special intelligence and attachment.
Balance and obedience: the extra edge in the woods too
Leone’s greatest strength is his great balance, combined with a strong predisposition for listening and obedience. It is thanks to this solid and cooperative character that he also proves to be an excellent dog for searching for the Precious White Truffle. He tackles the woods with extreme confidence—not because he is hyperactive, but because he has excellent mental alertness and an innate joy in working with his handler. This harmony and ease of management confirm to us that his genetic line keeps the historic and versatile attitude of the Lagotto Romagnolo intact.
As you know, our goal is not to breed record-breaking dogs for professionals. What we truly care about, and what we defend with passion, is the authentic soul of this breed:
a solid, reliable, balanced life companion with a heart as big as the world.
