We receive requests for the pond of our breeding also from abroad. Mainly from Europe, but there are also requests from overseas, USA and Canada.
From nearby Switzerland there are many phone calls and e-mails and also visits to ‘Breeding Lagotto Romagnolo for a puppy to take to Switzerland.
Entrusting a puppy of Lagotto abroad is very challenging and raises doubts, mainly the journey that is planned to reach his family.
If you want one of our puppies, we ask you to come and pick him up yourself.
This gives us guarantees on the journey that the puchievous puppy will make with those people who will soon become his point of reference.
The foreign families make a big act of confidence in deciding to take a Lagotto Romagnolo in Italy. Waiting times are often long, both because of the lack of availability that we have in general and because the bureaucracy often significantly lengthens the time for custody.

There are some European countries where the dog, the puppy can access before 12 weeks. This possibility, mainly dictated by national regulations on rabies vaccination, also affects our possibilities.
That is, we can only keep one or two puppies per litter up to the age of 4 months.
Believe us we are pleased to be able to spend some more time with our puppies, certainly the detachment hurts us a little more but the satisfaction in doing with them many experiences and see them grow fills us with happiness.
On the other hand, wanting to follow the growth of the puppy we can not afford to keep the puppies parked for up to 4 months to be able to be surrendered. There is a lot of commitment and this requires us to be able to keep one or two Lagotto puppies abroad at the same time at our farm, depending on the periods and contingent needs.
The question is, however, much simpler when the Lagotto Romagnolo is required by countries where, according to European regulations, the puppy can enter before the age of 12 weeks:

In some ways we think they’re special puppies:

The returns of their families are exciting for us and a stimulus to continue this experience, often challenging but at the same time rewarding.
Soon some of our puppies will reach Moscow (Russia), Zurich (Switzerland) and even Lithuania. Another puppy will be in the United States and England from families we had the opportunity to meet even before the puppy was entrusted to them or even born.
Thanks to them for their trust and for the opportunity that they give to our puppies of Lagotto to make themselves known abroad.
In the year 2016 we bought our first Lagotto Romagnolo. Step by step we were discovering how fantastic this breed is. These are unbelievably clever dogs, they learn quickly and can adapt to every situation. And that´s why we decided to get another dog friend for our Lagotto. We tried to find a suitable puppy in our country, in Bohemia, but at that time there was no puppy available. So we started to look in Italy, in the country of the origin of this breed. By pure chance we came across the website of Valle dei Medici and immediately contacted them. We got an answer from David very soon. He said he was expecting a litter of puppies in the near future. We were all looking forward to it very much and impatiently were expecting the good news. Finally! David sent us a message that the puppies were born. From that time on we were in contact and we were following the progress of the puppies. David chose a puppy exactly as we had wished. We went to collect Ermes immediately after the New Year and we brought him home on 3rd of January 2019. Since then Ermes has been a source of joy for us. In a few days he will be six months old. He had grown into a lovable doggie and is very smart and sweet. Thank you very much, David.
We are so so happy with our Lagotto puppy. Myself and my family cannot thank David and his family enough for firstly, raising such a beautiful dog in a beautiful home for us but also for all of the advice and support they have given throughout the process and afterwards. We bought our puppy back from Italy to the UK, which requires a lot of administration and paperwork which David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with. His family have such a love for their dogs which is evident in how they are bred and raised. Our Lagotto now completes our home, with his intelligent, calm and loyal nature and that is all thanks to these wonderful breeders. We look forward to sharing stories as he grows up and wish for them to come and visit whenever they need. I could not recommend Valle dei Medici enough and will be sure to visit again in the future, maybe we will bring back another Lagotto. Thank you!
Our experience with Valle dei Medici couldn’t have been better. From the first moment, even with all our questions, David and the family were always available. We created a relationship even before the arrival of our puppy and for us it was very important and useful during the waiting period. Now we have had our puppy “Tufo” for almost three weeks. He is lively, sociable and full of love. Certainly thanks to the care they have given him in the first few days. We are incredibly happy and in the future if we choose to have a brother or sister for our Tuff we will undoubtedly go to Valle Medici!
